Brendan Heller
Aquatics Director
Brendan is entering his 8th summer working with the RYC Riptides. This will be his 7th summer as the Aquatics Director, after being the Head Swim Coach for the last seven summers. He is currently the Head Swim Coach for three different programs: Greenwich HS Girls Swim Team, Woodland Regional HS Boys Swim Team, and Amity Regional Aquatic Club in Orange, CT. Previously, he served as Head Swim Coach for Sacred Heart Greenwich for four years, as well as Iona Prep and the Davenport Beach Club in New Rochelle, NY for two years. He has also worked as an Assistant Swim Coach for multiple college swim programs, including Carnegie Mellon University (PA), Pace University (NY) and Sacred Heart University (CT). Brendan swam collegiately for the Bryant University Bulldogs in Rhode Island. While in RI, Brendan joined the Army National Guard and served six years before resigning as First Lieutenant in January 2017. Brendan and his wife Kristen live in Orange with their son Andrew, who they welcomed into the family in October 2023.
